Christmas and the New Year

The Christmas season was a delightful one for George and I. We had so much fun decorating the house, giving out little secret presents, and having a break from school.

Our favorite thing we did this year was we saved up all of our change, cashed it in, and gave it to someone. It was a very spirit filled activity for us and we are thankful for the opportunity Heavenly Father gave us to experience that feeling during the Christmas season.

We woke up Christmas morning at 8 a.m. (ah, sleeping in) and opened our presents together. It was great. George bought me a necklace with a diamond in it. I never thought I would get diamonds for Christmas. I got George an Ipod Shuffle and I think he was excited about it.

We were able to spend all day with both of our families and it was wonderful to just get to spend that time together. New Years was wonderful as well. Spent at First Night with Cindy, Reed, Alysha, and Brendan. Then we went to George's sister's house and blew in the new year with them.

We are so thankful for the wonderful couple of weeks we had together without any school but alas, the fun had to end. George started back at school this morning. He had to work until midnight last night, unfortunately, and had class at seven this morning. My poor hubby. Hopefully work will start to be nice to him and he can get some sleep before his classes on M, W, F. We are glad though that he only has class three days a week along with his internet math class. It is sure to be a busy semester but I am so proud of him and all he is accomplishing and look forward to watching him progress.

(Pictures to come soon).
