Catering
Kamarie Schiess and I are starting a catering/cake decorating business. We haven't done any business yet and we are just getting started on the cake decorating lessons (her mother, who made my wedding cake, is our teacher) but we decided to attempt a cake on our own. Kam has learned a little from her mom up to now and taught me a few of the beginning tricks. We are pretty proud of our first cake and think it turned out pretty cute. We are excited to do this and other cakes so if you need a cake and want to give us a chance, let me know. Or catering too, we are both pretty good cooks if I do say so myself.

Random Summer Time Pictures
I've been charging my camera and found some pictures on my phone of a couple things George and I did this summer.
We played hooky and went hiking up at Sundance:
One night, I planned a back to school date. We rode our bikes to the park, packed sack lunches, and colored.

We rode the chairlift up to the hike and then back down.
We chose one of the Stewart Falls options so we could see it in the background.

My bike tire kept going flat so we had the pump ready to go! At this point the sky had changed dramatically on us almost instantly. We rode home as quickly as we could in the rain.
We had a fun summer and are looking forward to more fun dates here in the near future.

Love Your Body Day
Apparently today is love your body day according to the Biggest Loser Fitness Ridge Blog : http://blog.biggestloserresort.com/2011/10/love-your-body-day.html
So in honor of that day, I would like to say what I love about my body:
I am not the smallest girl but I am thankful that I have a body that allows me to accomplish what I want. This body of mine carried me through a 1/2 marathon this year. I can exercise with the best of them. I am thankful for my curves. I love my eyes, my nose, and my hair. I'm thankful for what Heavenly Father has given me and am working hard to take better care of it than I have in the past!

Judged
Does anyone else ever feel judged because they aren't making it through school without any loans? I feel that way a lot lately, like because we have to take out some student loans to pay for school and a little to live that we are doing something bad.
George put in his two weeks at work this week and we are ecstatic! Hopefully this means fewer up all nighters, fewer fights, more time for homework, and better grades. We need him to get good grades to go to grad school and let's be honest here, who can make it through grad school paying $8000 or more a semester without any financial aid? Those with family who are paying for them, that's who.
Yes, we are a financial aid using family. I had some student loans when I finished school and I'm grateful for those cause they got me through a very difficult time of my life. Yes, my husband has student loans for his schooling and we will not make it through student loan free BUT we do not have credit card debt or anything else like that. We have a car loan and student loans. That is it! I'm proud of where we are and I'm proud of where we are going. If you want to judge me for taking student loans then do so but keep it to yourself.

Bad Day
Anyone ever have those days where you just don't know what's wrong? I'm feeling utterly and completely overwhelmed of all the things that I need to do with my life, all the changes I need to make, and all the decisions George and I have to make. I'm feeling sick of work and right about now just want to curl up in my bed and go back to sleep. I'm going to do my scripture study and hopefully I will come back in a little while with words of wisdom on how to shake that not so cool feeling. For now, I'm trying to figure it out and not fall into my addiction, which at this point would be compulsively eating so I don't have to feel.
