Continue in Patience
If you have not read Elder Uchtdorf's priesthood session talk, I highly recommend you do, especially if you really want something and it isn't coming. Here are just a few parts that I loved and really stuck out to me.
"Patience-the ability to put our desires on hold for a time-is a precious and rare virtue. We want what we want, and we want it now. Therefore, the very idea of patience may seem unpleasant and, at times, bitter. Nevertheless, without patience, we cannot please God; we cannot become perfect. Indeed, patience is a purifying process that refines understanding, deepens happiness, focuses action, and offers hope for peace."
"There is an important concept here: patience is not passive resignation, nor is it failing to act because of our fears. Patience means active waiting and enduring. It means staying with something and doing all that we can-working, hoping, and exercising faith; bearing hardship with fortitude, even when the desires of our hearts are delaying. Patience is not simply enduring; it is enduring well!"
"Every on of us is called to wait in our own way. We wait for answers to prayers. We wait for things which at the time may appear so right and so good to us that we can't possibly imagine why Heavenly Father would delay the answer...God's promises are not always fulfilled as quickly as or in the way we might hope; they come according to His timing and in His ways...Looking back, I know for sure that the promises of the Lord, if perhaps not always swift, are always certain."
"We must learn that in the Lord's plan, our understanding comes 'line upon line, precept upon precept.' In short, knowledge and understanding come at the price of patience. Often the deep valleys of our present will be understood only by looking back on them from the mountains of our future experience. Often we can't see the Lord's hand in our lives until long after trials have passed. Often the most difficult times of our lives are essential building blocks that form the foundation of our character and pave the way to future opportunity, understanding, and happiness."
"Patience means accepting that which cannot be changed and facing it with courage, grace, and faith. Patience is a process of perfection. The Savior Himself said that in your patience you possess your souls. Or, to use another translation of the Greek text, in your patience you win mastery of your souls. Patience means to abide in faith, knowing that sometimes it is in the waiting rather than in the receiving that we grow the most. This was true in the time of the Savior. It is true in our time as well, for we are commanded in these latter days to 'continue in patience until ye are perfected.'"

Another Miscarriage
Life goes unexpectedly so many different ways. George and I were not supposed to get pregnant again until the end of this month and we accidentally were again at the beginning of this month. I called my doctor's office to make an appointment (as I was told to do immediately when I got pregnant again). They told me that they weren't going to do any blood tests or anything and I was really confused by that because I felt like we needed to make sure things were okay this time. Then when I talked to the nurse, she told me that the doctor had said, "What part of DO NOT get pregnant do people not understand?" That frustrated me to no end and I was upset the whole entire day because the doctor took away the happiness that I had about the pregnancy.
I decided I needed another doctor. So I called my friend Cindy and she said her doctor was good and so the next morning I tried to call him because I had started bleeding. I called the wrong number at first but the secretary at the number I called told me they had a family practice doctor who delivered babies as well and that he could take me as a patient and could see me that morning. I told her I would call back if I couldn't get to this other doctor. When I called Cindy's doctor, the secretary told me she thought I might be high risk and didn't know if the doctor would see me and that she would call me back at noon. She never called back and wasn't very nice so I called the other office back. The doctor saw me that morning, did exams and blood tests and was great to work with. By Thursday, I was bleeding a lot more and passing clots so we were pretty sure we had lost it.
On Friday, we got the test results which confirmed that we had miscarried. The doctor called me at the end of the day to talk to me about it and told me that as soon as I find out I am pregnant next time to call and they will have me come in and we will try progesterone shots to see if I can hang onto one. I'm thankful for the phone call mix up because I don't think I could have asked for a better doctor. I needed someone who would be proactive and try to find solutions for us. We're sure it's my PCOS that's preventing the pregnancies from sticking and that really stinks but I know Heavenly Father is watching out for us.
We can try again in July but will probably wait until August so that we don't have a baby in the middle of Finals, lol. We will have our family when the time is right. I've been promised this multiple times. It just really stinks that we can't hang onto one.
To all of you mothers out there who are having a hard day with those kids just remember that they really are a blessing from our Father in Heaven and cherish everyday that you have them! The good and the bad.

Mother's Day
Thank you to all of the wonderful women who have shaped my life and helped me become who I am. Without them, I would not be the woman I am today. Thank you to my wonderful, amazing mother who has helped me through the years with my ups and downs and happy and sad times. She is one of my best friends and I am so very thankful for her. I don't know what I would do without her. She's there for me whenever I need her and I know I can always turn to her! She is an amazing woman!
My Mother's Day was a good one but a little bittersweet. It was good to visit our moms and remember them on this day but it also brought a little familiar ache to my heart. I cried watching all the primary kids head up to the podium to sing their Mother's Day song and hurt a little watching my pregnant sisters and wishing that I was one of them but I know that I have my kids somewhere just waiting for me. When George gave me my little gift that morning and told me he wanted to celebrate me for the mother that I will be someday. I know I will be, in whatever way it comes. I hold onto that hope and the hope that maybe someday soon a miracle will happen. In the meantime, I will let the Lord continue to comfort us and do what I can to prepare our home and our lives for that blessing someday.

Whip It
I don't know why but the song Whip It keeps coming to my head today.
when a problem comes along
you must whip it
before the cream sits out too long
you must whip it
when something's going wrong
you must whip it
you must whip it
before the cream sits out too long
you must whip it
when something's going wrong
you must whip it
There isn't anything really wrong, just it hasn't been going as I would like. Basically I haven't had a lot of control. Ah, control. :) Sometimes, you gotta let it go, but it's really hard. I just got to whip it!
On a happy note, George is done with his first year of school! Yay, I am so proud of him and everything he has done. He is an amazing man and I'm thankful for all his hard work. He is going to have to take one of the classes over again but that's not bad considering everything we went through this summer, so it is off to summer school but only two classes so I think we can handle it! And a little work in a physical therapists office will be great for him too! GO GEORGE!
