Another Miscarriage

Life goes unexpectedly so many different ways. George and I were not supposed to get pregnant again until the end of this month and we accidentally were again at the beginning of this month. I called my doctor's office to make an appointment (as I was told to do immediately when I got pregnant again). They told me that they weren't going to do any blood tests or anything and I was really confused by that because I felt like we needed to make sure things were okay this time. Then when I talked to the nurse, she told me that the doctor had said, "What part of DO NOT get pregnant do people not understand?" That frustrated me to no end and I was upset the whole entire day because the doctor took away the happiness that I had about the pregnancy.

I decided I needed another doctor. So I called my friend Cindy and she said her doctor was good and so the next morning I tried to call him because I had started bleeding. I called the wrong number at first but the secretary at the number I called told me they had a family practice doctor who delivered babies as well and that he could take me as a patient and could see me that morning. I told her I would call back if I couldn't get to this other doctor. When I called Cindy's doctor, the secretary told me she thought I might be high risk and didn't know if the doctor would see me and that she would call me back at noon. She never called back and wasn't very nice so I called the other office back. The doctor saw me that morning, did exams and blood tests and was great to work with. By Thursday, I was bleeding a lot more and passing clots so we were pretty sure we had lost it.

On Friday, we got the test results which confirmed that we had miscarried. The doctor called me at the end of the day to talk to me about it and told me that as soon as I find out I am pregnant next time to call and they will have me come in and we will try progesterone shots to see if I can hang onto one. I'm thankful for the phone call mix up because I don't think I could have asked for a better doctor. I needed someone who would be proactive and try to find solutions for us. We're sure it's my PCOS that's preventing the pregnancies from sticking and that really stinks but I know Heavenly Father is watching out for us.

We can try again in July but will probably wait until August so that we don't have a baby in the middle of Finals, lol. We will have our family when the time is right. I've been promised this multiple times. It just really stinks that we can't hang onto one.

To all of you mothers out there who are having a hard day with those kids just remember that they really are a blessing from our Father in Heaven and cherish everyday that you have them! The good and the bad.
