Disneyland this Week
I am so excited to take George to Disneyland! I am totally weird, but I have always wanted to be one of those cute couples with their hubby at Disneyland and now we get to do it. lol. I am way excited. Monday is George's big 30!! I can't believe that he and I are even close to that number, but if you wait till later in life to get married, then that is what you get! We are going to leave on Friday, right after George gets off work at around 2pm. I am working through my lunch breaks this week so that I can leave early as well! He will probably be tired, actually we both probably will, but we are only driving to Vegas and we should be there by 7pm. We are staying in a Courtyard Marriott - YAY for Priceline! Then on Saturday we will go shopping at the Outlet Mall and head the rest of the way to Anaheim! We hope to maybe see some things in LA on Saturday night! Or maybe we will send George to Priesthood Meeting, but I am guessing the former will happen (don't tell on us). Sunday, we are taking our laptops so we can listen to Conference in our hotel room. Then we are going to go check out some beaches. We might make it to one by sunset, that would be really awesome! I am excited to go to the beach with George! And then the big day! We get to go to Disneyland on George's birthday. Woo hoo! We are going to be there all day! We aren't sure why, but there are fireworks that day! So George gets Fireworks for his birthday! YAY!! We are going to the Rainforest Cafe for his birthday dinner. We will be driving home on Tuesday. We will probably take our time as it is a long drive so we will probably be home late Tuesday night and then it will be back to the daily grind! But oh how I am excited. I can't wait to spend this time with my hubby. It is well worth the days off and the money!!!

Life is starting to set in!
Okay, so I think George and I are slowly getting into a groove. I have made a daily job chart and it has one house job for each day so I don't have to spend all day on Saturdays cleaning the house. Thank goodness! The door to the house is finally mostly done! There is just some caulking to do, but yay!! Slowly George is getting moved out of his parent's house. Everything is hiding in the office. lol. I keep the door shut so I don't have to see everything that is in there, but I guess eventually I am going to have to venture there and start working on it. My next goal is to work on getting our thank you cards done and out and then work on putting pictures up around the house. It is a slow process, but it should be done soon enough. You know though, funny enough, we are in a groove, but we are going to Disneyland in a week and a half and it will throw us off again. :)
Now for my little gripe! My husband is losing tons of weight and I am not. Tell me how that works. The boy eats three times as much as I do and he still loses weight! It is so not fair! I am staying the same or losing like 1/2 a lb a week. This stinks. He has lost almost 10 lbs. Tell me how that works!!???

The Hard Worker
I have to say, I married a very hard worker! The man is amazing. Yesterday he had to be to work at 6am so he got up at 5am, of course I couldn't go back to sleep after that. During his lunch break at work he ran to a couple of banks. After work, he paid bills, went to Home Depot, picked us up a new dryer and worked on fixing the still not totally put together door! All of that with just an hour break for dinner! The man is amazing. At 10pm I finally made him pack it in. We thought we would spend a little time together but funny enough, the second we both sat down and relaxed, we realized we were so tired that we had just enough energy to pray, climb in bed, and go to sleep. Those kinds of days always wear me out but there is such a great feeling of accomplishment when you finish a day like that and know that you were able to get things done! I am so thankful for a man who will work so hard to make sure things are taken care of! I knew the importance of finding a hard worker because of my dad's example and I really did find me one!!!

St. Patrick's Day

I decided to get a little creative yesterday and do something I had never done before. I decided to make a green
St. Patty's dinner for George and I. I went to Wal-mart and bought a green table cloth and green dye
. I tried to dye the pizza dough, which didn't work too well, but I died the cheese, the chicken, and the alfredo sauce! It was so much fun. Then I made green pudding, dyed the crystal light and the ranch dressing and got out some fresh broccoli! We had ourselves a little St. Patty's day delight!
And then of course what is St. Patrick's Day without your own little personal leprechaun. George and I took that picture on our honeymoon but I thought it very appropriate for this post!

Flu and no front door
Argh! I hate feeling like crud! Sadly, I got the flu today. Woke up at 4 in the morning and haven't slept much since then! However, in a way the flu turned out to be a blessing. George has been trying to figure out a way to have someone home so he could have the door reframed per our landlord's request. So this morning he took the door off and screwed a blanket in place! The newly reframed door is sitting outside the door, waiting to be put back on! George got off work at 8:30 pm and will hopefully be home soon to work on putting the door back on. I have no clue how long it will take him, but I hope not too long. After being alone and sick all day, I really just want him to hold me!
I know though that the Lord works in mysterious ways. It means that one thing on Honey Do List will be done today! Woo hoo! A little closer to having our new home put together!

George is Doing Well
Well, the doctor said it looks like he just strained his wrist, which is good. He is supposed to exercise it daily and take some aleve to take the pain away. Guess we have to be more careful from now on! :) We got the insurance thing worked out as well! I have no clue what happened to all of the paperwork that I filled out with human resources. That to me is pretty worrisome, but I refilled everything out and now we should officially have George on insurance! Hallelujah! George and I had our first official family home evening last night. Short and sweet. We were both pooped and wanted to just go to sleep. So we had a short thought, song, and prayers. Our activity was to watch one of the episodes of Smallville, but I fell asleep. lol. I think we have worn ourselves out so much lately with everything that we have to do that we are both pooped whenever we are home! I think George is still sleeping. It is his day off. He should be able to sleep in at least one day a week, right!?
We are loving married life! We love each other and are thankful to have one another. Last night we thanked Heavenly Father for all of the blessings we have. We feel like we are being blessed in so many ways and sometimes He just needs to hear a simple thank you for them all! I did my personal prayer as a thank you one as well and I really had to think about it so I didn't ask for things. I just mechanically do it. I really am thankful for all of the blessings the Lord has given us! I know we are blessed beyond belief!

New Adventures
Well, the new adventures have already started. George hurt his wrist while we were on our honeymoon and it has continued to hurt so he had to go to the doctor today and of course the doctor wanted an x-ray. At this point, I haven't heard the results yet, but I hope it isn't too bad because anything that happens, we have to pay at least 30% of and because of all the darn hippa laws, if we don't get insurance worked out then we may have to pay all of it. He should be covered because I filled out the paperwork for the insurance but apparently the benefits office has lost like all of them. So I am on my way to re-fill out all the papers I previously filled out! Oh the joys!

Mr. and Mrs. Smith
No, we are not like the couple in the movie! We love each other and when we fight we just use empty paper towel rolls, not real guns. :) It is official! We are married. Hallelujah! It is about time. It has been a wonderful amazing ride! Our wedding day went way too quickly. Just thinking about the little things that happened that day, makes me all giddy. It was so much fun! I could have a wedding day once a year I think. As long as I get to marry the same man over and over again. Life makes me excited, especially to share it with husband (as I like to call him). What a cute adorable man he is!
Husband treats me so well and I like to think that I treat him equally well. I'm so excited to put our house together and get things in order. We both hated leaving each other this morning to go to work. Thank goodness for Sundays!
